Thomas Becket - St Thomas Becket (December 21, 1118 – December 29, 1170) was Archbishop of Canterbury from 1162 to 1170. He engaged in a conflict with King Henry II over the rights and privileges of the Church and was assassinated by followers of the king in Canterbury Cathedral.

Richard of Dover - Richard (d. 1184), archbishop of Canterbury, was a Norman, who became a monk at Canterbury, where he acted as chaplain to Archbishop Theobald and was a colleague of Thomas Becket.

Roger de Pont L'Evêque - Roger de Pont L'Evêque was a contemporary of Thomas Becket. He was Archdeacon of Canterbury immediately previous to Becket holding that post, and was later Archbishop of York.

Thomas II of York - Thomas (d. February 24, 1114), archbishop of York, was the nephew of Thomas I of York, the son of his brother Samson, who was also archbishop of York.
